KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The design works for the 100-storey Menara Warisan Merdeka is expected to be completed by end of this year, says Permodalan Nasional Bhd.
PNB President and Group Chief Executive, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said discussions on the design for the landmark project had taken a long time as they had taken a comprehensive view of the project.
"We have to see not only in terms of a 100-storey building but also the entire infrastructure, the roads and utilities," he told reporters following the announcement of dividend for the Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 trust fund, here.
The integrated development project, worth RM5 billion and to be built by PNB, will be located close to the Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara in the city.
Its completion is expected in 2015.
The plan for the project, to be developed over three phases, was announced during the 2011 Budget presentation by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak last year.
